Tree Guide
There is lots of scientific information about trees available. Much of it has been known for a long time. In fact, I plan to add some of the old tree information to this site.
However, some of the more interesting aspects of trees are seldom written about. I remember an economic botany professor many years ago talking about the income potential of planting cork trees along city roads. It would take them a while to grow large enough to harvest, but once they reached that size the city fathers could look forward to a financial bonus about every ten years when the cork bark was harvested.
In more recent times I know several sawers who make a nice living from good hardwoods which get left at their yards by city workers happy not to take walnt, cherry, oak and other fine wood to the landfill. Crasy how the world works sometimes.
This site will become a "Hub" for my collection of tree sites. Listed below are the domains I have accumulated and where I will be adding content. Links will be live when the site is published.
